Satan is called the Accuser: he is “the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night” (Revelation 12:10). Do you know his accusing voice? I sure do. When I sin, he is right there to tell me that I am scum. I am a failure. Worthless. Condemned.
But the apostle John in 1 John 2:1-2 writes, “if anybody does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father – Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.”
So the next time Satan brings up your sin, cut him short and tell him, “Talk to the hand!”
Not your hand …
The scarred hand of our living, loving Savior – Jesus Christ!
