“For the love of Christ compels us…” (2 Corinthians 5:14). How would life be different if the love of Christ truly compelled what we did and thought and said? If every action and attitude was guided, controlled, and ruled by the love of Jesus himself? How would it change:
my view of other people … whether I "like” someone or not?
my desire to talk about Christ and share the gospel?
my response to petty arguments and major disagreements?
my approach toward worship, study, and prayer?
my willingness to extend forgiveness?
my relationships with my family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors?
my choices to give of my time, my money, my effort, and myself?
I act and react so easily from self, from sin, from weakness, and from thoughtlessness. What if I learned to be compelled – in all things, at all times, in all ways – by the love of Christ?
